Washington Hotels
WashingtonWashington, D.C. is the capital of the United States, and lies along the Chesapeake Bay on the east coast. It contains all of the U.S.'s Federal buildings, and is filled with some astonishing examples of beautiful architecture of the sixteenth century, when it was but a small village, all the way to the most modern and up to date buildings. There are countless museums, including the Smithsonian, the International Spy Museum, the National Gallery of Art, even the National Postal Museum. Then there are the obvious landmarks, including the Jefferson Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the iconic Washington Memorial, and the great mall in front of the Capitol building. And, obviously, the White House, which offers guided tours for most of the year. But D.C. isn't all history and museums. In trendy Georgetown, for example, the influence of the world famous university can be felt in the form of clubs, boutiques, countless restaurants and bistros, and many small galleries. There are also numerous clubs that are open until the wee hours for those who are so inclined.
