San DiegoSan Diego, located on the coast of southern California, has something for just about anyone, regardless of age or interests. It is an eclectic mix of the old and the new, with everything from aquatic parks to unspoiled beaches, five star restaurants to some of the best hiking tracks. Mission Beach is located near the manmade islands of Mission Bay and is amazing in its versatility; people can roller blade or bike along the path, or hit Belmont Park to ride the roller coaster. Or you might just want to hang out on the beach. For the younger crowd, San Diego offers world famous Sea World, and the renowned San Diego Zoo. More attractions include Balboa Park, and, for the younger crowd, there's the Gaslamp Quarter, an eclectic mix of trendy restaurants and nightspots, boutiques and art galleries, reminiscent of New York City's Greenwich Village, or Miami's South Beach. As far as food, its proximity to the Mexican border makes it a Mecca for Mexican food aficionados. San Diego is truly a cosmopolitan city, with food for every palate, from fancy, five star dining to casual sports bars, from Italian pasta to Japanese restaurants with fresh sushi. For people who prefer to be more active, the San Bernardino Mountains offer countless hiking and biking trails. San Diego is truly a paradise, with clean air, clean beaches, and lots of things to do.
