San Antonio Hotels
San AntonioFrom its trendy and beautiful River Walk (known as the Paseo del Rio to the locals), to its historical Alamo, San Antonio is the second largest city in the glorious state of Texas, and has something to offer just about to anyone. For couples, there are romantic walks along the River Walk, quiet afternoons to spend poking around the museum of modern art, and delightful hidden away restaurants. For families, San Antonio offers the Alamo, of course, and Sea World San Antonio, along with Six Flags Fiesta Texas. In addition to the famous Alamo, San Antonio offers four other authentic Spanish missions, which are beautiful. They are all part of the wonderful San Antonio Missions Historical Park. There is a great artistic tradition in San Antonio, from countless small galleries, which offer the latest in local art, to the world-renowned museums, such as the Witte, the McNay, and the San Antonio Museum of Art. For art in the local tradition, you must visit La Villita, an outpost originally established by the Spanish soldiers stationed at the Alamo. It offers a historic taste of the past, with restaurants, galleries, and boutiques. The city offers warm weather all year long, with freezes occurring very rarely. For the sports minded, there are of course the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA and tours are available of their home court at the ultra modern AT&T Center. San Antonio is the perfect blend of Tex and Mex, and this is reflected in the clothing, music, and, of course, food. There are restaurants to entice every palate.
