Phoenix Hotels
PhoenixWhen you think of Phoenix, you think of dusty deserts, sandy sunsets, and dry, hot pueblos. But there’s much more to Phoenix than those things! Phoenix has parks, museums, a very active local artisan culture, and a multitude of activities, both indoor and out. First of all, with a population of over one and a half million people, Phoenix is a very modern and cosmopolitan town. The recent population boom has created a Renaissance of sorts in parts of the city, and the Native American influence can be seen and felt throughout. With an average annual temperature of 85 degrees Fahrenheit, packing for a vacation in Phoenix is easy. It has several museums of note, including the Heard Museum, which has a world-renowned collection of Native American art and historical artifacts, in addition to the Fleischer Museum, the Phoenix Museum of History, and the Arizona Science Center. All are great ways to stay cool. If you want to stay cool but stay outdoors, Phoenix has nearly 30 public pools, and a number of water themed parks, like Waterworld Safari or Golfland SunSplash. For the flora lovers among you, there’s the Desert Botanical Garden, which has a large collection of native desert plants. And of course one can’t think of Phoenix without thinking of golf; there are literally dozens of golf courses scattered throughout the city. If hiking is the name of your game, there are world-class hiking and biking trails in the hills around the city. Of course, you can’t go to Phoenix and not enjoy the food; Phoenix offers the best of formal fine dining, along with local Native American and Mexican food. Phoenix is fun in the sun for everyone, all year long.
