Upper East Side

The Upper East Side is the natural protraction of Upper Midtown. Many buildings where the old aristocracy of New York used to live today lodge museums or embassies. On the east side you will find international areas like the German Yorkville or the Hungarian zone. A big part of the city's museums are gathered in Upper East Side area, from the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, to the Jewish Museum, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, housed in a building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. At the numbers 120 and 122 of East 92nd Street you will find the only two wood houses left in the city of New York. One tip: do not miss the number 179 on East 93rd Street, here, in a three rooms apartment, the Marx Brothers spent their childhood.
