Bangkok Hotels
BangkokBangkok is the capital of Thailand, that mysterious, beautiful land in the South Pacific. It is beautiful to look at, an absolute riot of colors, smells, and cultures. It’s never quiet in Bangkok, that’s for sure. The first thing one thinks of when thinking of Bangkok is the architecture. There are palaces, temples, and pagodas, world famous and redolent with the fragrance of incense. There’s the Grand Palace and Wat Po, the Wat Arun and the Naional Museum, which houses art from the present and spanning back to the early 500s. There is the Vimanmek Teak Mansion, the largest building in the world made completely of teak, the Royal Barges Museum; the list goes on and on. While of course sightseeing will take up some time, be sure to leave some time free for shopping. Bangkok is known the world over for offering a variety of well-known names at a fraction of the cost. Throw in the hundreds of local vendors and their local wares, and you have at least a week’s worth of shopping! As far as the nightlife is concerned, suffice it to say that there is literally something for everyone, no matter what your interests or inclination. We’ll just leave it at that, shall we? There are also day spas that offer long, relaxing massages, facials, and saunas, and you can rest up and be pampered for your night on the town. Obviously, Bangkok is an international destination, and there is food of all kinds, from the best in upscale dining to the little store front satay shops, where eating can be an adventure into the unknown, as in, who knows what you’re eating?
