Beatrixpark

Named for Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands, Beatrixpark is a nice out of the way respite from the busy city of Amsterdam. You will find that this park has easily earned its reputation as one of the cleanest parks in all of Amsterdam, so much so, that you may even see some local children playing in the beautiful canals that wind through the park. Even if you aren’t interested in a quick swim, there is a plenty of shade, and many blooming flowers in the Spring, as well as a pond filled with water lilies and a peaceful fountain that will lull you into a peaceful calm and recharge your batteries for the next phase of your Amsterdam journey. You will notice that the Beatrixpark is a bit out of the way from the main areas of the city, so if you’re not already in the area, it may not be worth the trip, but if you are anywhere nearby, it is definitely worth the time to drop in and enjoy the peace and quite of this lovely park.
