The Hotel NES in Amsterdam is a 3 star Green Key Label property which has a total of 39 finely appointed guest rooms. All of the hotels rooms and common areas were recently redecorated by renowned Dutch interior designer Ellen Van Gent. The hotel's historic past is combined with modern style furnishings to give the building a unique feel that is both cozy and charming. The hotel has quite a past as it was originally built in 1890 by a wealth family from Amsterdam and was later taken over during WWII by soldiers. At one point the building was converted from a private home into living quarters from soldier from the United States and Canadian military. It has been used as living quarters and a hotel ever since that point. Many of the original architectural features were lost when the building was used by soldiers and it has been restored to a condition as close to the original building as possible. The Hotel NES features modern amenities such as wireless internet service in all of the common areas and rooms. They also have a safe in every guest rooms so you can safely leave your valuables behind while you are out in the city. All of the rooms also have a flat panel television so you can watch all of your favorite programs with a nice clear picture.
