Built around a lush garden courtyard graced by palm trees, tall flowering hedges arching over walkways, and large bougainvillea displays, the Aventura Mexicana manifests designer/proprietor Andres Jacobi's vision of a tropical hotel: small, quiet and restful. Soft lighting and tiki torches illuminate the courtyard and rooftop gardens after dark. Two blocks from the hotel, the Caribbean Sea washes miles of sand fine as sugar and nearly as white. Umbrella table cafés line the beach. Independent operators along the beach arrange water sports. Open air, rooftop massage under a thatched roof can be booked at the hotel for a surcharge. The on site restaurant, Jacobi's, offers romantic poolside dining in an open air, palapa style restaurant, overlooking the illuminated courtyard, serving authentic Mexican and International specialties.
The adults only hotel offers 30 guestrooms in three, linked hacienda style buildings of one , two , and three stories facing a garden courtyard and featuring open air, balustrade corridors and staircases (no elevators). Rooms include platform beds and shared balconies or individual, ground floor patios looking into the courtyard. Dial up Internet access is available for a fee. Guest rooms feature pale decor, including marble or tile and mosaic pebble floors, with mahogany colored cabinetry accents. Silk flowers and large, framed prints contribute splashes of color. Recessed ceiling lights provide soft illumination. Ceiling fans offer an alternative to air conditioning. Rooms provide large stall showers only (no tubs). Television offerings include English language and movie channels. The Adventura Mexicana hotel's staff is available to assist guests with any needs they may have. Take Hwy 309 from Cancun to Playa del Carmen.
Take Highway 309 from Cancun to Playa del Carmen.
In Playa del Carmen, turn left at 3rd traffic light.
Turn left again on 10th Ave to the hotel.
