Arch of Constantine(Italiano: Arco Di Costantino)General Info The triumphal the Arch of Constantine in Rome was erected around the year 315 A.D., to celebrate the victory of Constantine I over Maxentius at the Milvian bridge; the arch is situated in the North part of Rome, between the Palatine Hill and the Coliseum. Only 3 arches survive today in Rome: the arch of Titus and the arch of Septimus Severus, both in the Forum area, and the Arch of Constantine that is the largest one (measuring 21 meters in height, 25,7 meters in width and 7,4 meters in depth). Many decorative elements on the monument were taken from other buildings by earlier emperors such as Trajan, Hadrian and Marcus Aurelius (also known as the Good Emperors).
