(Italiano: Milano) Milan, Italy, is the fashion capital of the world and, because of this, you would expect to find some of the best hotels anywhere in the world. At certain times of the year it is nearly impossible to find hotels in Milan because of the fashion season, so if you are planning a visit to Milan it is best to come during the Fall or Winter seasons. That’s not to say you can’t come during the height of the fashion season, it just might be a bit harder to find a Milan hotel room that fits your budget. Even during the off-season rooms are priced higher than many areas of Europe, but it is easier to find a reasonable rate. August is the best month of the year for booking a Milan hotel room at a low rate. Keep in mind when you book a hotel in Milan to ask for the lowest rates possible because many times they are available.

At certain times of the year Milan is bustling with a who’s who in the fashion industry. Models, designers, and fashion buyers consider Milan the Mecca of fashion. If you are not as interested in the fashion side of Milan, you will find plenty of other things to do. If you want to take a nice stroll while in Milan come to the Piazza Duomo and the adjoining Galleria. If you love to window-shop, just north of the Piazza Duomo is the Golden Quadrilateral, home to the cities fashion industry. There are dozens of museums and churches to visit as well!
