Osterley

Osterley Park and House is a Tudor style mansion that was completely remodeled in the neo-classical style, located in West London. The house is surrounded by a park and gardens, which date back to the 1700s that contain lakes and formal floral displays. Osterley is in fact considered so lovely that it is in great demand as a location for weddings and other formal ceremonies. There is a produce market that sells the best in local wares, as well as exhibits by local artists. The interior of the house was completely remodeled by Robert Adam into an elegant villa, and tours are available daily. In addition, the grounds are extensive, and maps are available for self-guided walking tours. There is a stable block which dates back to the 1500s which is nearly exactly as it was then. Depending on when you go, there are also scheduled activities, for adults, children, and families. There are also what are known as Pleasure Grounds, a formal garden with flowers which are best viewed during the spring and summer, along with a Garden House which displays many of Adams signature touches. Osterley house is open year round.
