Madame Tussauds LondonGeneral Info Madame Tussauds London is a world famous chain of wax museums, which was originally established in London by Marie Tussaud, a Frenchwoman who moved to England in the early 1800s, bringing her skill at modeling figures out of wax with her. It is currently located in Marylebone Road in London. A walk through the museum is like a walk through both history and pop culture. The amazingly lifelike figures range from William Shakespeare to the Beatles to Beyonce. The museum contains some original figures created by Marie Tussaud herself. The figures are no longer kept behind ropes and poles, but are rather completely available to visitors, and photography is allowed. Since this is not a national museum, there is an entrance fee that depends on which type of tour you choose. It is accessible by all modes of London public transit, and it’s open all year round, exclusive of major public holidays.
