Hampton Court Palace

Hampton Court Palace is located in Richmond on Thames, in southwestern London. It is one of only two palaces built by Henry VIII surviving today, and is one of Great Britain’s most beautiful and popular historical attractions. It is home to the annual Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, and has been a major tourist draw for most of the twentieth century. Hampton Court is home to many famous works of art, including paintings, tapestries, and china. The exterior of the Palace is popular with the public as well. There are gardens, a chapel, a large fountain, even an ice rink that is open to the public during the cold months. It is said to be haunted by the ghost of Jane Seymour, Mother of King Edward VI, and the Ghost Tour is just one of many available. There is a hedge maze for the more daring among you as well. Hampton Court Palace is accessible by bus, train, even by bicycle or riverboat, and they have recommended tours to meet your time frame, whether it is one hour, or two, or the entire day. There are gift shops and cafes within the palace as well.
