If you do not want to spend your days inside museums and art galleries, Birmingham has more than 8000 acres of parkland and open spaces. The largest park in the city is Sutton Park. It is the largest urban nature reserve in all of Europe. You can also come and see the Winderbourne Botanic Garden and the Birmingham Botanical Gardens that are close to the city center and boast an array of Victorian style features. You can also explore many of the city’s public squares. If you head down to Corporation Street, you will be able to see the historic Old Square.
