About Saint-Malo
Along the English Channel is the northwestern port city of Saint-Malo, France. Saint-Malo is one of the most visited locations in Brittany, France. Saint-Malo was once a fortified island at the mouth of the Rance River. Historically the city was its own independent republic for awhile, it was home for corsairs, French privateers, and pirates. The island is now attached to the mainland in a way that won't allow it to be separated. However, it offers a number of thins to see. You can see much of the original walls of the fortified city and the Solidor Tower in Saint-Servan which is a 14th century building that has a lot of history to it.
