About Rouen
"Rouen is the capital of the French region of Haute-Normandie, which is located on the river Seine, and is only around 90 miles from the centre of Paris.
The city itself is fairly small and compact and therefore all the sights can be seen by travelling on foot, although there are regular city buses and many of the hotels in Rouen offer excursions to neighbouring cities, including Paris.
