Palais de Congres is a convention center located in central Paris. It was created by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the early 1970s, and has been home to corporate events and launches, international and domestic conferences, conventions, and trade shows, expositions, and exhibitions for the past thirty years.
Le Palais de Congres contains four amphitheaters, which seat from 300 to 3,000 people, over sixty meeting rooms, committee rooms, TV studios, banquet halls, onsite parking, and countless hotels of all levels within walking distance. In addition, there is Les Boutiques du Palais, a shopping mall contained within the center which is home to over eighty retail establishments, where you can buy virtually anything, from leather goods to gifts with a Parisian flair, from cosmetics to shoes, and of course restaurants. There is a currency exchange service within this area as well, so anyone who attends any function at le Palais de Congres will be able to have every need met, whether it be business or pleasure, without leaving the building. Of course, most people do want to leave, and le Palais is close via public transportation to most Parisian landmarks. The point, here, however, is that, for the very busy business traveler, this can be a Mecca of calm among the flurry of work, and last minute shopping or an evening’s entertainment is accessible immediately.
