Notre Dame de Paris General Info
Notre Dame de Paris is one of the finest examples of gothic architecture in the world. Its foundation dates back to 1163 but it was completed only in 1325. This gorgeous cathedral survived, almost intact, some of the darkest period in the history of the city of Paris, such as the French Revolution, the Commune of Paris and World War II and the German occupation. Notre Dame is also the seat of the Archbishop of Paris.
