This is the monumental quarter of Paris. The "Hotel des Invalides" was built under the reign of the "Sun King" to house and give shelter to the veterans and the wounded soldiers of his army, that up to that date were forced to live as beggars. In the centre of the complex stands the "Dome", underneath it the mortal remains of Napoleon rest in peace. Crossing the Boulevard des Invalides you might encounter the "Musée Rodin". The building that houses the museum dedicated to the greatest French sculptor of all times, was formerly the "Byron Hotel", that was given from the State to Rodin who lived in it until the day he died in 1917, leaving in it many of his works. On the boulevards near the "Tour Eiffel" there are many luxury buildings, some of them are the residence of embassies.
