Great Location, Small Swimming Pool

I stayed at the Grand Hotel during my holiday last month. The hotel was located within walking distance to every great place in Lyon such as the Place des Terreaux, the Musee des Beaux Arts, the Musee Gadagne, the Basilica, the old town, and the river cruises. It was also located near some restaurants and a food market. The hotel was located on a quiet street so you would get a good sleep at night. The room was small since I only took a single room. The staff were nice and friendly, they could give you information about where to go around the hotel area. You could enjoy your breakfast in a room that is decorated in a modern style, and you could get a drink or two at the bar which is located just across the reception. The indoor swimming pool was small. The only thing that I didn't like from this hotel is that its elevator was very small and slow. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who's visiting Lyon for business or leisure.

Tiny room & pool

I stayed at the Grand Hotel for work and did not have much expectation since it was a budget hotel. The hotel area was surrounded by many restaurants and was located only few minutes walk to the old town Lyon. Beside the location, I did not like several things about the hotel such as the small size of my room and the terrible pool area.

Not so clean

I was a little disgusted with the maintenance of this hotel. The room could have been cleaner, as well as the lobby. After I complained, they cleaned more thoroughly during our stay. I shouldn't have to complain about basic cleanliness though.
