The Museo Thyssen Bornemisza (Thyssen-Bornemisza Musem) is a famous art gallery in Villahermosa, a neighborhood of Madrid. The area in known as the “golden triangle of art” because the Prado Museum and the Reina Sofia galleries are located nearby. But the Museo Thyssen Bornemisza fills in much of the gaps in the other collections. This museum has collected works since the 1920s as part of a private collection. It was expanded later by the son of Thyssen-Bornemisza, who acquired most of the newer pieces from the collections of relative. Now, this is once of the world finest private art collections. An agreement was reached between the private collection and the Spanish government to open the museum in 1992 to the public. The collection itself included many works of art that span eight centuries of European art. The collection include works by Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir, and more.
