Arganzuela is a district in Madrid that offers many different things for travelers of all ages to do. This district is just to the south of one of the most historic areas of the city. In mid-September, this district comes alive with the Feast of the Meloneras Festival. This festival is a celebration of the Nativity of the Virgin del Puerto and help in the Exhibition Center of the Park Arganzuela. During this week long festival many events take place that attract both locals and tourists alike. Some of these events include sporting competitions, concerts, live music, food and the traditional festival happenings.
