Located in the tourist area of Gran Via, the Hotel Vincci Capitol is a central Madrid hotel that just opened in 2007. Housed in the symbolic Edificio Capitol, the building of the Hotel Vincci Capitol has been used as a set for Spanish cinema over the years and the ground floor features the most famous movie theatre in the city: the Cines Capitol. After a movie, travelers can spend time right in the city center and visit attractions like the Puerta del Sol, the Plaza Mayor as well as the numerous bars, shops, museums, and theaters within walking distance. Tourist buses also stop right in front of the hotel to take travelers around the city. These buses are independent from the Hotel Vincci Capitol, though tickets for them can be purchased at the reception desk. The 136 guestrooms of this Madrid hotel offer air conditioning/heating, a mini bar, an in-room safe, cable television and Internet access, plus the choice of smoking or non-smoking rooms. The hotel itself has a sauna and steam baths, two glass elevators, massage services, laundry services, and a health club. There’s also a panoramic lounge bar that overlooks the city and a breakfast buffet served every morning.

Mixed service, strange decor

Our room was on the 10th floor, and we had a very nice view. The staff was less than cordial, and a few were downright rude, and few seem to speak English. Room decor is a little 70's furry disco and a little 80's chrome and black. Room was clean, and housekeeping was in every day. Mixed review on the hotel, but I would still recommend it for its superb location.

Great Business Trip

My colleague and I stayed at this hotel due to its great location which was on the Gran Via and directly next to the Callao metro station. The hotel staff were very friendly and nice. The room was spacious and clean. The double beds were very comfy. It was noisy at night actually, but thanks to the good soundproofing method they used, we didn't hear any noise during our stay and able to sleep well. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Adequate Single Room

I stayed at the hotel for the business conference that I must attend. I then booked a singe room in Puerta de Toledo. The room was clean and it was adequate for one person. The room was completed with TV, free internet wifi, air conditioning, and also breakfast. The location was great. it was centrally located and very accessible to the metro station. The staff were friendly and they was able to speak English.

The hotel vincci Capitol Madrid is more spa than hotel. The health club provides massages, facials, and other spa service right in the hotel lobby. Located right in the heart of Madrid, you're within walking distance to several tourists spots as well as public transportation. There's a lounge on the roof which offers panoramic views of the city which is especially beautiful at night.

Good hotel to visit the center of Madrid

Good location for sight-seeing in Madrid. Only few steps to Puerta del Sol, gran Via, Callao and the most popular "Madrid Bear" (Olso de Madrid.
The quadruple room was a little bit small for 4 adults.

Great Business Trip
