Les Corts,is a district in Barcelona which is home to Camp de Les Corts, the stadium which was home to FC Barcelona from its inception in the early nineteen twenties until the late nineteen fifties, when the club moved to a newer stadium which is located within the same district. This neighborhood has experienced a renaissance of sorts over the last few decades. The historic center of this area has of late become popular not just with tourists, but with Barcelona natives who are looking for up to date housing coupled with a small town atmosphere. It has become a blend of the old and the new, with old world style cafes cozying up to modern pastry shops and boutiques. There is a soccer museum housed in the new stadium, and there are wallet busting shopping malls along the same streets as third and fourth generation “mom and pop” style stores. This district is easily accessibly via all modes of public transportation existing in Barcelona.
