Gaudí Home Museum

The Gaudí Home Museum at Parc Guell is a required stop for anybody interested in the life and work of Gaudí. The park itself, commissioned by Eusebi Güell, is a sweeping panorama of the stylized architectural influence of Gaudí, with many flowing natural shapes and features throughout the park; from the brightly colored tile dragon that guards the park entrance, to the vast mosaic tiled seats and walls that line the terrace along the summit of the park (also known as the Serpentine bench), this is truly a beautiful place to visit. The museum itself is within a small home within the park where Gaudí lived at one time, and features examples of Gaudí‘s drawings as well as some of the furniture that he designed. While the museum has interest to the followers of Gaudí‘s life, the park is where you are most likely to spend your time exploring. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to explore all of the areas of the park, as well as some extra time to get there, as the Park Güell is quite a large complex and a bit out of the way from the Metro, though taxis and buses are available if necessary.
