"Regensburg, in Bavaria, one of the oldest towns situated in Germany, and was originally founded by the Romans in 179 A.D. Regensburg is a flourishing city and is considered one of the best-maintained medieval cities in Germany and thus has been a UNESCO world Heritage Site since 2006.There are many known landmarks and attractions in Regensburg in the medieval city centre itself, including the cathedral, the stone bridge, Italian-style medieval merchant houses and towers, The Church of St. James etc.
Regensburg has a superb variety of high-class restaurants, water side café’s and Regensburg Hotels to eat at, from small snacks, to traditional and international cuisine. A lovely place to spend an afternoon is in a small beer-garden right at the riverbank where you can enjoy the special locally produced dishes served by waiters in medieval costume. Many hotels of Regensburg also sell local wine but German beer is world class.
Nightlife in Regensburg is also very lively and you will find several clubs in the city offering pop music to traditional German music.
