Munich is a city located in southern Germany. It has a population of approximately 1.35 million people, which makes it the third largest city in Germany. You can spend days just visiting the aforementioned Olympic Park, the English Garden, the world famous Nymphenburg Palace and Park, just to name a few. Considering how steeped in history it is, Munich is surprisingly modern and cosmopolitan, too, with many high rises and avant-garde buildings. It contains many museums and art galleries, where a person could spend literally days looking at everything. Munich is truly a diverse city, and a wonderful addition to anyone's European travels.
