Frankfurt Am Main Hotels
Frankfurt Am MainFrankfurt, or Frankfurt am Main, as it is known to most, is the acknowledged hub of European travel. Located geographically near the center of Europe, it is the resting place of most travelers in Europe. It has a reputation for being a center of commerce, as well, but Frankfurt am Main is more than that. It is the birthplace of the world famous classical writer Johann von Goethe, a city that mixes the past and the present effortlessly. From a distance the skyline looks like that of the most modern and up to date city, which it is, but once you’re in the city proper, you’ll find yourself charmed by it’s quaint shops, the museums along the River Main, or the many, many parks and gardens. Because of its reputation for being a bustling metropolis, many people are surprised at the small town atmosphere once they’re there. The population of Frankfurt am Main is only about 650,000, which is part of its appeal. One can actually walk from one end of Frankfurt am Main to the other in less than one hour! For shopping, there’s the famous shopping mile of Zeil and there’s a large pedestrian paradise with the nickname Fressgass where food from nearly every country in the world is cooked and served. Truly, Frankfurt am Main is the best combination of the old and the new, the cosmopolitan and the small-town, the urban and the rural.
