Breitscheidplatz is a very popular public square in western Berlin, inside Charlottenburg. It was a place for musicians, writers and artists to meet after World War I. Due to the popularity of the platz as a main consumerist center, it was often called the commercial center of West Berlin. It is a popular place for foreigners and Berliners alike.
