Storch House At of the Stone Madonna

Located within Old Town Prague are a number of houses that are representative of the style of Gothic architecture of the 13th and 14th centuries; one of these prominent structures is the Storch House, also know as the House of the Stone Madonna or At the Stone Virgin Mary. The Gothic façade features beautiful figurative paintings that show the patron saint of Bohemia, St. Wenceslas with the three Magi. Along with the Storch House, there are a number of other Gothic houses located near each other in Old Town, including the House at the Stone Table, the House at the Golden Angel, and the House at the Stone Bell. If you are looking for an interesting afternoon, and enjoy the style of Gothic architecture, it might be a good idea to plan a walking tour of the Gothic houses while in Old Town, beginning with the Storch House. There are also a number of tours that focus on these houses, among others, and provide historic context as you are guided to each of these historic landmarks.
