Chengdu

Chengdu is the capital of the Sichaun province in China. It is located in the southwest region of China and is known to be the best city to invest in according to a 2007 appraisal of Chinese cities. It was also recently named in the top four of China’s most livable cities. Chengdu is really a historical sight, spanning more than four thousand years in Chinese history. Chengdu is located on a fertile plain that makes the land perfect for farming and various agricultural endeavors. If you come to Chengdu, the “country of heaven” you will want to stop by many of the restaurants to sample the local specialties. There is the Chengdu Hot pot, the Charring Pole, and many other specialties that are worth trying when you are visiting Chengdu. But be warned that many of the dishes are spicy, so if that is not your preference, you may want to eat at places that serve a variety of international foods. What Chengdu is best known for is the amount of bars and teahouses that are located within the city. It is considered one of China’s biggest party cities, and those who live there know that it is important to be a little more laid back and live life to the fullest when you are in Chengdu.
