(中文: 北京) Beijing, China, is more than simply the capital of the country with the world’s largest population; it is the biggest and best gem in all of China. Beijing offers sights and attractions that nowhere in the world could offer, and some of the hotels in Beijing are no exception! There are basically two different types of hotels in Beijing: hotels that are owned by joint venture between non-Chinese and Chinese, and strictly Chinese owned hotels. With the first type you will see known worldwide brand names and you can expect the styles that are associated with those companies. Your first choice should be the Beijing Hotels with worldwide name appeal. At these four or five star hotels you will find all the accommodations you would expect along with the style and service. Many of the wholly Chinese owned Beijing Hotels, while offering the same price, do not typically offer the same value for the money.
Beijing: Beijing is a study of two cultures. One culture that is ancient and riddled with history, and the other culture that evolved from Mao Tse Tung’s Cultural Revolution. Signs of the communist regime are abundant in Beijing, but the vast history of the city cannot be hidden! If you come to China the absolute first place you should consider is Beijing. From the Great Wall that runs along the outer edges of the city, to The Forbidden City at its heart, you will find Beijing to be an amazing place. Perhaps the first thing you might want to see is Tian'an Mén Square — this square is bordered on all sides by history. Beijiing has a lot of sparkle and distractions but throughout the city are dozens of temples, gardens, museums and other important attractions. The attractions seem to decrease in size the older they get and they are often surrounded by narrow alleys called hútòngs. Hútòngs are narrow lanes that literally twist through the old sections of the city where you can happily wander for hours.
