This section relative to the end user privacy policy is to be considered complementary to the general statement on personal data treatment understood to have been read in full.

The purpose of registration

Prontohotel.com uses the data supplied in order to improve the service offered and provide users with the best service possible. Registration makes it possible to personalize Prontohotel.com in order to make it more useful and user-oriented. Prontohotel.com may also use the personal data in its possession to contact users in order to send them important news or announcements about Prontohotel.com itself, or ask them to express a personal judgment about the site.

Only if explicitly authorized by the user upon registration, or at a later stage, Pronthotel.com may also send other material; for example, a newsletter or other vehicles of information.

In addition, and only if explicitly authorized, Prontohotel.com may use the data supplied to send commercial offerings and/or information on other economic-commercial opportunities presented by its commercial partners.

In both cases the user would have the advantage of receiving assuredly interesting commercial information, while Pronthotel.com would be in a position to allocate increased resources to technological development and to the overall improvement of services.

At any moment in time the user is obviously free to revoke consent to the two aforementioned uses of his e-mail address by contacting Prontohotel.com at contacts.web@prontohotel.com. and explicitly revoking consent to the use of data for the uses illustrated above.

Registration itself may be cancelled by sending an e-mail message to contacts.web@prontohotel.com, with reference to the user’s e-mail address and the explicit request for cancellation. Upon confirmation, the information regarding the user will be deleted from our files. Prontohotel.com cannot guarantee the deletion of said information from the databases of partners when said information has been supplied to them on the basis of prior user consent, but undertakes to notify said partners of the user’s request and the ensuing deletion of the user from its own database

The advantages of registration

Registration on Prontohotel.com offers the advantage of access to additional options: for example, posting critiques on trips, journeys or vacations, and taking part in discussions underway in the Prontohotel.com forum. Likewise available becomes the possibility to personalize surfing on the site and to send e-mails with Prontohotel-com material either to one’s own address or to other users. If the user does register on the site, Prontohotel.com will record additional data with respect to the data provided as a mere visitor to the site. If the user links up to Prontohotel.com through a partner site (“click through”) and is already registered on that partner’s site, Prontohotel.com may receive some of the data provided to the partner in question. We therefore advise users to reread the privacy policy statement on the partner’s site in order to be aware of the data collected on said site and the use thereof declared by the partner. Prontohotel.com retains the right to conserve that data, and in this case will abide by its own privacy policy.

If a person “clicks through” to a partner site from Prontohotel.com and decides to register on that site, Prontohotel.com may be requested to provide the partner site with the user’s registration data or a portion thereof. Prontohotel.com will provide that data only if this is not in contrast with its own data privacy policy and in complete conformity therewith, even if Prontohotel.com is not in a position to guarantee what use the partner site will make of said data. In the case of doubts regarding the data privacy policy of the partner site, users are advised to read the partner site’s data policy statement before providing any data whatsoever.

Release of personal information

Input and material spontaneously produced by users of Prontohotel.com will be published (?), and will be identifiable through the user’s e-mail address.

Prontohotel.com may share data permitting user identification with other controlled or associate companies in various countries around the world when said companies are involved in the supply of tourist packages and/or services. Sharing such information enables Prontohotel.com to understand in depth the ways and means in which the products and/or services are most useful to travelers. This makes it possible for Prontohotel.com to provide travel information on the basis of interests and preferences expressed by a user himself. Prontohotel.com cannot impose any personal data use restrictions upon controlled, controlling or associate companies, but it is incumbent upon said companies to handle the personal data of Prontohotel-com users in a manner at least equivalent with procedures applied to the data of their own direct users.

When and if explicitly authorized, Prontohotel-com may also share personal user data with third parties contracted by Prontohotel.com to provide services such as market surveys, marketing services, publicity, etc.; in this case Prontohotel.com will request said contractors to use the data provided exclusively for purposes inherent in the supply of the specific services contracted.

Prontohotel.com may also share users’ personal data in the case of corporate transactions such as dissolution, consolidation, merger and/or cease of activity, and in case of insolvency.

Prontohotel.com may be obliged by public authorities to supply personal data in the hypothetical case of suspected computer crimes. In accepting this privacy policy, the user declares acceptance of the fact that Prontohotel.com retains the right to provide public authorities, on its own initiative, not only with users’ personal data acquired during surfing, but also the data provided explicitly by a user, the purposes thereof being to prevent criminal behavior, to be exempt from legal liability and to protect its own rights.
